Man arrested in Connersville on various charges related to explicit child material

Identity not released as more information is expected

(CONNERSVILLE, Ind.) – Connersville Police say a person has been arrested on various charges including explicit child material. 

A police raid was conducted in the 500 block of Reid Street on Friday as part of an ongoing local and federal investigation. 

“Due to the serious nature of these allegations and the extent of this investigation, we will not be releasing the name of the arrested person at this time. He is, however, in custody and lodged at the Fayette County Jail, where he is being held without bond,” the Connersville Police Department said in a statement.

Investigators say they are confident that there is no ongoing threat to the public, and will soon have a way that potential victims can share information.

“We understand the fear that parents have who have been associated with the subject and are working as quickly as we can to establish a system to obtain information and identify any and all children involved,” police said. 

A formal release is expected to be provided this coming week.
