Walters Family Memorial Tournament taking place this weekend

(MILAN, Ind.) – Youth baseball and softball players from across the region will play in a special tournament this weekend.
33-year-old Jordan and Sierra Walters were tragically killed when a pickup crossed the centerline and struck their vehicle on State Road 350 on June 12.
Their two sons were in the vehicle as the family was driving to a Milan 8U baseball game. Both kids were briefly hospitalized but are now without their parents.
The Walters Family Memorial Tournament was quickly organized as a way to support the family.
It will take place at the Daren Baker Memorial Park in Milan on Saturday and Sunday.

The tournament was supposed to begin Friday, however, games were cancelled due to rain.
Despite the rain, families still came to enjoy the activities such as raffles and carnival games. There was even some pick-up baseball games that were played.
“All Saturday games will be played as scheduled at this time,” organizers said.
