(VEVAY, Ind.) – An Ohio man was seriously injured after falling from a tree stand in Switzerland County.
The incident happened at a property on Westerkamm Lane around 12 p.m. Friday.
Indiana DNR officials say 74-year-old Luther Hull, of Fairfield, was attempting to repair his tree stand when he fell more than 20 feet.
Hull was flown to a Cincinnati hospital where his current condition has not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
“Conservation Officers remind hunters using elevated platforms to always wear a full-body safety harness, use a tree stand safety rope, avoid installing or removing tree stands alone, and thoroughly inspect tree stands before climbing,” stated the Indiana DNR.
