Man killed in Switzerland County shooting

(PATRIOT, Ind.) – Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred in Switzerland County on Saturday night. 

It happened around 9 p.m. at a home in the 11000 block Bryants Creek Road in the Patriot area. 

A 48-year-old man was killed in the incident. His identity has not yet been released by police. 

At this time, nobody has been arrested as the investigation is being conducted by the Indiana State Police.

Investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.

The Indiana State Police has been assisted by the Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana Conservation Officers, Switzerland County Coroner’s Office, and the Switzerland County Prosecutor’s Office.
