Milan woman faces felony drug charge in Nebraska

(VALENTINE, Neb.) – A Milan woman is facing felony drug charges in rural Nebraska.
39-year-old Virginia Hummell was pulled over for going 90 mph in a 65 mph zone, Cherry County authorities said.
Deputies said they smelled burnt marijuana during the traffic stop which led to a search of the vehicle.
Police say they found marijuana, rolling papers, and a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. She was charged Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Hummel allegedly failed to appear in court twice and now another court appearance has been rescheduled for this week., according to News Channel Nebraska.
Cherry County is located in the north central part of the state and is 6,000 square miles, making it the largest county in Nebraska. However, the total population is under 6,000 people.
