Navy veteran, former firefighter passes away

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – A Navy veteran who fought a serious illness for two years has passed away. 

85-year-old Gary Klopp, Sr. served in the Navy from 1957 to 1960.

He was also a Lawrenceburg Fire Department captain for several years. 

Some may recall him riding motorcycles which he did from the age of 16 all the way to age 74. 

Services will be held at the Fitch-Denney Funeral Home in Greendale on Friday. The visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. and the funeral starts at 7 p.m.
