(INDIANAPOLIS) – An Indiana native who is playing in the NCAA Basketball National Championship tonight has faced some local competition in the recent past.
Braylon Mullins is a freshman star for UCONN and graduated from Greenfield-Central High School last year. He was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball last April.
During his senior season, some of the opponents that Mullins and Greenfield-Central faced included Lawrenceburg, East Central and Rushville.
Mullins scored 27 points against Lawrenceburg, 26 points at East Central and 29 points against Rushville.
The two-seed UCONN Huskies will face one-seed Michigan at 8:50 p.m. tonight in Indianapolis.
The freshman recently hit one of the most memorable shots in tournament history when he sunk a half-court buzzer beater to beat Duke in the Final Four. Watch below.
