North Vernon man accused of meth possession during eviction service

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – A North Vernon man is facing drug charges after police were called for an eviction service.
Officers responded to a residence on Hoosier Street and located a man identified as Isaiah Long.
Police say they could smell marijuana coming from Long but he allegedly denied having any.
Long was eventually asked to turn around for a pat-down when he allegedly tried to run away.
He was taken into custody and police said they found a small bag containing methamphetamine, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Long was booked into the jail on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Resisting Law Enforcement.
