(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Several North Vernon current and retired police officers took on a unique assignment on Thursday.
The officers assembled a Pre-K Police Car Playground set.
It was made possible through a grant from Decatur County REMC and the inclusive playset is for kids ages 2-12.
“A special thank you to Chief Keith Messer, Sgt. Lucas Newsom, Reserve Officers Tiger Zamora and Gary Driver, and Retired Chief James Webster for helping bring this project to life,” the police department said.
“We’re proud to support opportunities for connection, learning, and fun for all ages in our community,” they added.
