(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Police activity occurred in the parking lot of the North Vernon Walmart on Saturday.
North Vernon officers were called because they received information about a wanted woman who was reportedly in the parking lot.
Police say they located Ashley Walters who had an active Failure to Appear warrant in Jennings County.
Walters allegedly became verbally uncooperative and attempted to resist. She was eventually placed into custody.
North Vernon Police say this should serve as a reminder to those with warrants.
“Save yourself the headache—contact law enforcement voluntarily and let us provide you with a free trip to the Jennings County Jail so you can resolve any outstanding legal matters,” the agency said.
