(OLDENBURG, Ind.) – Oldenburg Academy is announcing some achievements when it comes to the Advancement Placement (AP) Program.
OA encourages students to enroll in AP classes which provide college-level courses that help them prepare for the next level, while also saving tuition money.
All of OA’s 2D Art and Design students passed the exam. Ninety-four percent of AP Literature and AP Language students earned passing marks compared to the national pass rate of 72% and 74% respectively.
The science and math departments continue to see marked improvement in their scores as well.
AP Environmental Science students posted an 88% pass rate, exceeding the 69% national rate.
AP Chemistry and AP Biology students were competitive with the national average with 75% and 64% of students earning a passing score.
There were also 27 students who were recognized as AP Scholars this past year.
“I am so incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding AP scores," said Principal Angie Parmer. "This is a wonderful reflection of their hard work and preparation for college-level success. These results also speak volumes about the dedication and talent of our faculty, who support and challenge our students every step of the way.”
