(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – A situation in Morris led to an officer-involved shooting in Greensburg on Wednesday.
Authorities were called to the apartment complex on North Morris East Street for a report of shots fired during a domestic-related incident on Tuesday.
Nobody was hurt and the suspect had fled the scene, police said.
On Wednesday, Decatur County deputies located a vehicle that they believed was associated with the incident in Morris.
Deputies pulled the vehicle over on County Road 400 East near County Road 300 North.
There were three occupants in the vehicle who were called out of the vehicle individually.
39-year-old Travis Manlief allegedly pointed a gun at officers when he was exiting the vehicle.
Police fired their weapons, striking and killing Manlief. Nobody else was injured during the incident.
“The officers involved were each equipped with body worn cameras that were activated during this incident, along with in car cameras in each of their patrol vehicles,” ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said.
