(CARROLL, OH.) – A central Ohio coffee shop is spreading awareness for missing persons cases.
Carroll Cup Coffee House has started an initiative where they place sleeves depicting missing people on their coffee cups.
Owner June Iesue-Queen said, I thought the coffee cup hot drink sleeves could provide an opportunity to get important information directly into the hands of community members. Why not about our Ohio missing persons?”
One person the coffee shop has spotlighted is Andy Chapman who disappeared from the Columbus, Ohio area in 2006.
Iesue-Queen calls the initiative ‘Searchlight Sleeves’ and hope the idea can spread to other cafes.
“My hope is that other coffee shops, in particular the large chains for which the reach could be much greater than mine, will take note of the hope this may provide to families of missing loved ones,” she said.
