(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The iconic tree growing out of the Decatur County courthouse is the focus of a project on Thursday.
An arborist is trimming the tree for the first time in several years.
Project officials expect the work to take place for just a half day.
The crane that is involved in the project is from Obermeyer Agri Group. The company said the tip of the crane boom was 176 feet up during the project.
Prior to the start of the project, a group of homeschooled elementary students came to the courthouse lawn to get an up close view of the crane this morning.
