Pickup slides into Metamora pond during snowstorm

Here is video of the incident

(METAMORA, Ind.) – Nobody was seriously hurt after a pickup truck ended up in a pond near Metamora on Saturday.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. on Cupp Chapel Road which is a dead end road off of State Road 229.

Witnesses say there was an adult driver and a juvenile who were inside the pickup and they were both brought to safety.

This was one of at least two vehicles locally that lost control on slippery roads and ended up in a pond. The other was in Greensburg and you can read that here.

The hazardous road conditions have led to travel advisories across Southeast Indiana. You can view your county’s travel status here.
