Authorities believe thefts occurred in multiple different counties

(NORTH VERNON, Ind.) – Authorities are working to identify the rightful owners after more than $125,000 worth of stolen items was allegedly found in North Vernon.
The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department was conducting a home check of a person on probation when they say they found stolen items.
A search of the home led police to finding stolen property that included power tools, generators, welders, toolboxes and other equipment, according to the sheriff’s department.
The investigation led police to conduct another search in Campbell Township on August 14. Police say that search led to them finding stolen power tools, welders and a motorcycle that was stolen from Jefferson County.
“Investigators believe the items recovered are linked to nearly 20 burglaries and thefts spanning four counties, with many occurring recently in Jennings County,” officials said.
Deputies have been working to identify the rightful owners of the stolen property.
If you believe your property may have been recovered, you’re asked to email Deputy Allen Ritchie at ritchie@jenningssheriff.org with a detailed description of the items taken, along with your phone number, full name, and address.
Those arrested included 57-year-old Rodney Mead, 30-year-old Jeremy Long, 35-year-old Michael Murphy and 36-year-old Mackenzie Jenkins. All four are from North Vernon.
