Victim described as an "amazing person"

(MADISON, Ind.) – A woman is accused of killing her girlfriend in Madison early Friday morning.
Madison Police say the deceased person was discovered in the Presidential neighborhood around 2:30 a.m. Friday.
26-year-old Tori Michelle Dennison has been charged with murder after Casey Hilt was found stabbed to death, according to WDRB.
An acquaintance described Hilt as an “amazing person” and that she was an active volunteer with the Jefferson County Boys and Girls Club.
Madison Police are continuing the investigate and added that there is no threat to the public.
Madison Police Chief Shawn Scudder says more details will be released when they become available.
"This is a tragic event for our community, and our hearts are with the victim’s family and loved ones. Thanks to the swift and coordinated work of our officers and investigators, we were able to quickly apprehend the suspect. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served,” Scudder said.
