Police: Madison man had 20K images, video clips of children engaged in inappropriate acts

Investigation began in March

(MADISON, Ind.) – A 79-year-old Madison man is behind bars after authorities say they uncovered thousands of images and video clips. 

Madison Police began investigating William “Bill” Higbie in March which led to the seizure of electronic devices during a search warrant. 

Investigators say they found approximately 20,000 images and video clips which appeared to show children engaged in sex acts.

Higbie was arrested Wednesday and is currently facing a level four felony charge of child exploitation. He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail with a bond of $100,000.
