Storms moved through Wednesday night

(HARTSVILLE, Ind.) – As of now, it appears Southeast Indiana has avoided any significant damage from storms that rolled through on Wednesday night.
However, the storms left their mark on the eastern side of Bartholomew County.
A possible tornado caused some building damage, as well as downed power lines and trees southeast of Columbus and also near Hartsville.
Columbus Township Fire officials are warning residents about downlined power lines as well.
“Treat all power lines as energized and notify the emergency dispatch center of any downed lines,” officials said.
The department added that County Roads 525E and 450E are currently closed between State Road 46 and County Road 100S due to the power lines being down.
