NWS confirms third tornado from last week's storms

(VEVAY, Ind.) – The National Weather Service has confirmed a third tornado touched down during the storms on Thursday, June 18.
An EF-1 twister began in Switzerland County at 3:45 a.m. and traveled across the Ohio River into Carroll County, Kentucky.
Meteorologists say the first sign of tornadic damage was just east of Patton Hollow Road where numerous trees were damaged.
The tornado then caused roof and porch damage to two homes near State Road 56 and also uprooted several trees.
In Kentucky, the tornado downed power lines and trees along U.S. 42 and State Route 36.
It had a maximum wind speed of 100 miles–per-hour and was on the ground for approximately 10 miles.
Last week, the NWS confirmed an EF-2 tornado in Drewersburg and another EF-2 in Aurora and Ohio County.
