Pro Wrestling event at Milan will raise funds for Eli King Memorial Scholarship

Event takes place on Saturday night

(MILAN, Ind.) – A wrestling event will serve as a scholarship fundraiser for a Milan graduate who’s life was tragically cut short. 

Eli King passed away at the age of 28 after a car crash in October of 2023.

After graduating from Milan, King attended the Virginia Military Institute and then served in the Marine Corps where he was deployed overseas twice. 

During his time in the Marines, Eli received the Paul Ison Award, voted by his fellow Marines as the "Marine I would like to serve with in combat.”

Shortly before his passing, Eli encountered a homeless person at a local gas station. Eli took them out to dinner and shared some fellowship with this person. 

A scholarship in his honor is awarded to students who demonstrate similar service to others. 

Battle On The Border Pro Wrestling is hosting an event at Milan High School on Saturday night. The organization will donate some of the funds to the Eli King Memorial Scholarship as well as Milan Dollars for Scholars.
