(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – There is an initiative underway to show gratitude to 9-1-1 Dispatchers in Ripley County.
National Public Safety Telecommunications Week takes place April 12-18 in honor of those who answer the phone and play a critical role during emergencies.
During that week, community members and businesses are encouraged to “Adopt A Dispatcher” or even a shift of dispatchers that week.
You can donate snacks, drinks, gift baskets and even “Thank You” notes to the dispatchers.
“Let’s show our dispatchers how much they mean to Ripley County,” organizers said.
You can get involved in this program by emailing 911director@ripleycounty.in.gov.
