(CINCINNATI) – A Lawrenceburg freshman who was seriously hurt in a golf cart accident got a surprise visit in the hospital.
Kate Buescher is currently at Cincinnati Children’s and has recently been moved to the rehabilitation floor.
Buescher received a visit from Reds outfielder Dane Myers and pitcher Luis Mey on Wednesday.
“She cracked jokes with both of them,” her mom, Mandy, said.
The Reds players visited the hospital as part of the 513 day celebration in Cincinnati.
Kate continues to improve after suffering the injury in Hidden Valley in March.
Her mom added, “She’s working hard every day towards her healing. She’s a miracle!”
