(ST. LEON, Ind.) – A familiar face will now serve as the new principal of East Central High School.
Jamie Rosfeld has served as the assistant principal for several years and will now take on the principal position following Tom Black’s departure.
She is an East Central graduate who began teaching at her alma mater in 2001. She has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout her career and was named Indiana Association of School Principals District 10 Assistant Principal of the Year in both 2015 and 2020.
Superintendent Dr. Andrew Jackson says Rosfeld has demonstrated exceptional leadership, a deep commitment to students, and a passion for building strong relationships throughout the community.
“Her understanding of our school, our traditions, and our vision for the future make her an outstanding choice to lead East Central High School. Her experience, dedication, and student-centered approach will serve East Central well as we continue building on our tradition of excellence,” he said.
Over the years, she has provided leadership on curriculum, career and technical education, graduation pathways, work-based learning and the implementation of the new Indiana diploma.
“I am excited for the future and remain committed to fostering a culture of high expectations, strong relationships, and opportunities that empower every student to achieve their goals. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to leading and serving alongside this incredible school community,” Rosfeld said.
