Sand volleyball at Greensburg brewery opens for season

Tournament served as fundraiser

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Tree City Brew Company in Greensburg has a unique amenity that opened for the season on Saturday. 

There are two sand volleyball courts that were unveiled last year and it attracts people of all ages.

The Opening Tourney on Saturday also served as a fundraiser as all proceeds went to the Pirate Volleyball Youth Camp.

North Decatur incoming senior Garrett Schwering organized a team for the opening tournament this weekend. 

“I would encourage anyone to come out and play in the sand. You can’t get sand like this unless you go hours away to the beach,” Schwering said. 

The brewery hosts weekend tournaments throughout the summer and also men's, women's, and co-ed leagues.
