(WEST HARRISON, Ind.) – A senior housing complex in West Harrison will be expanding.
North Dearborn Village Apartments currently feature 80 units. Construction will begin soon to add 7 one-bedroom apartments and 4 two-bedroom apartments designed for adults age 55.
“Each single-level apartment will be ADA accessible and will include an in-unit washer and dryer,” said housing director Amy Federmann.
The expansion will also allow residents to have access to monthly activities, an on-site Senior Nutrition Adult Center and on-site property management and maintenance staff.
The project is led by LifeTime Housing Group, Southeastern Indiana Community Preservation and Development Corporation (SICPDC), One Dearborn and Maxwell Construction.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on August 5 and the complex is located at the corner of Unity Drive and North Dearborn Road.
The $3M project is expected to be complete by September 2027.
