Seymour man accused of injuring 5-year-old

(SEYMOUR, Ind.) – A Seymour man is behind bars accused of causing an injury to a young child.
Seymour Police began an investigation in December after receiving a report of child abuse or neglect from the Department of Child Services.
Investigators say the victim was a 5-year-old who had significant bruising to the body.
Interviews and medical evaluations were conducted as part of the investigation, according to police.
28-year-old Tristan Shelton was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Domestic Battery with Bodily Injury To a Person Under the Age of 14 as well as Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Bodily Injury.
