(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – South Ripley women’s basketball recognized their Shooting Club members during their home game on Friday.
The students have been tracking how many basketball shots they take on their own since March.
Kindergartners through second graders were given the goal of at least 10,000 shots.
Third graders through seniors were tasked with trying to take 15,000 shots.
“We tracked and posted their individual and collective shots on our team social media pages every week,” said varsity coach Brad Goldsberry.
Those players were recognized during the game last night and it was announced the group collectively has taken 315,101 shots!
Those who accomplished their respective goals were given a large South Ripley Lady Raiders basketball.
