Three teams advance to Regionals on Friday night

(MILAN, Ind.) – Three local football teams secured a Sectional Championship trophy on Friday night. 

It was a packed house in Milan as the Indians hosted North Decatur in a rematch of last year’s sectional title game. 

Milan cruised to a 27-7 victory and will play Providence next Friday in the Regionals. 

In Greensburg, the underdog Pirates advanced to a Sectional title game after winning four of their last five games. 

However, Lawrenceburg was a bit too much to handle as Greensburg lost 41-3. The Tigers will play Cascade in the Regional next week. 

East Central also earned a Sectional Championship after rolling past Whiteland 35-0. The Trojans will play New Palestine next Friday. 

Switzerland County’s impressive season came to an end as they fell to #2 Brownstown 55-0.
