St. Lawrence student serves as page for local senator

Beckett is a sixth grader

(INDIANAPOLIS) – A student at St. Lawrence Catholic School in Lawrenceburg had a unique experience in Indianapolis on Tuesday. 

Beckett Wagner is a sixth grader who served as a page for Indiana Senator Randy Maxwell.

She was tasked with assisting the local senator throughout the day and even saw a debate on the senator floor.

Sen. Maxwell was so impressed with how she conducted herself that he reached out to her parents last night and described her as "awesome."

“She had great questions, tons of energy, and she was really engaged in the process. I hope it was a fun day for her and that she learned a lot,” Senator Maxwell said.
