(ST. MARY’S, Ind.) – The afternoon storms led to damage, debris and power outages across Southeast Indiana on Tuesday.
The St. Mary’s area in Franklin County is among the hardest hit communities following the storms.
A home at the intersection of Morris Road and Pine Road lost part of its roof and also had significant damage to a garage.
Several trees were uprooted and power lines were down in at least two locations.
The majority of the damage in St. Mary’s appears to be around Pine Road, Loop Road, County Road 1575 North and St. Mary’s Road.
Franklin County EMA Director Amy Lindsey responded to the area and is accessing the damage.
We have received reports of damage in various other communities in the area including Lawrenceville, Penntown, Lawrenceville, Milan, Aurora and Jennings County.
