Storms cause power outages on Wednesday night

Storms still moving through

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The line of storms have brought power outages to Southeast Indiana as of 6:40 p.m. Wednesday night.
There are approximately 1,600 homes and businesses without power in Decatur County.
More than 1,000 of those are Decatur County REMC customers while approximately 650 Duke Energy customers in Decatur County are without power.
There are also more than 700 Franklin County residents currently without power.
In total, more than 2,500 Decatur County REMC members are currently without power.
For Southeast Indiana REMC, there are nearly 1, 300 customers affected. The majority are in the Dearborn County area.
In Bartholomew County, there's approximately 10,000 Duke Energy customers currently without electric.
More outages are possible as the storms are bringing high winds, heavy rain, possible hail or tornado and the potential for flooding.
