Original Post (Thursday July 17)
(SUNMAN, Ind.) – Sunman residents are being urged to preserve their water use during a boil advisory.
The boil advisory was issued due to a water main break on Thursday.
Town officials say the boil advisory may be in effect for a few more days.
“In consultation with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, it has been determined that water customers should boil their drinking water. This precautionary measure is recommended because we are experiencing a drinking water problem within your service area,” the Town of Sunman said.
Officials recommend water being boiled for five minutes before using.
“Until we resolve this drinking water problem, we are also asking that you conserve water and only use what is necessary for household and personal needs,” town officials added.
