(KERRVILLE, TX) – First responders will continue the search Sunday for 27 girls who are still missing after torrential flooding in Texas.
The girls had been staying at a Christian camp known as Camp Mystic which is along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Texas.
One of the girls who had been at the camp was 8-year-old Renee Smajstria who was found deceased on Friday.
“We are thankful she was with her friends and having the time of her life, as evidenced by this picture from yesterday. She will forever be living her best life at Camp Mystic,” said her uncle, Shawn Sulta.
There have been 43 deaths in central Texas reported so far as 27 girls remain missing from Camp Mystic.
