Toddler found safe after extensive search in NKY

(PETERSBURG, KY.) –  A toddler is safe at home after a search in Northern Kentucky on Sunday. 

A 1-year-old child was reported missing from a home in the 2300 block of Lawrenceburg Ferry Road in Petersburg. That is directly across the river from Lawrenceburg. 

Police say the toddler’s dad discovered the front door was open and the young boy was missing. 

An extensive search was held and the boy was safely located about a mile from the home. 

More than 20 agencies from across Northern Kentucky were part of the search.
