Toddler of the Year semi-finalist raising awareness of Down Syndrome

(GREENFIELD, Ind.) – A toddler whose family is from Greensburg is currently among the top candidates in an online contest.
Oliver Cole is in the top 1% in the Toddler of the Year competition. He is the son of Melissa Faulkner and Michael Cole.
Melissa says he is the epitome of perseverance, hard work, and love.
“After multiple surgeries and therapies he’s still full of love and smiles,” she said.
Oliver has Down Syndrome and his family is hoping this competition can bring more awareness to the condition.
He was one of 234,000 kids who were initially entered into the Toddler of the Year contest and is now a semi-finalist.
His family needs your support to help him become a finalist. The deadline for voting is 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 18.
"We would really love it if we could take this contest all the way to a top overall finish so that we could really have a national platform and a chance to put one of the biggest spotlights there are on Down Syndrome community," Melissa said.

Oliver’s mother is a former Greensburg residents and he has two sisters who currently reside in Decatur County.
