(SEYMOUR, Ind.) – Nobody was hurt after a turkey struck Jackson County EMS ambulance on Tuesday.
The ambulance was returning from a completed call when the bird struck the windshield.
Fortunately, there was no patient on board and none of the crew members were injured.
“We also want to commend the crew for staying calm and maintaining control of the vehicle during the incident. That kind of professionalism is exactly what keeps situations like this from becoming much worse,” Jackson County EMS said.
Ambulance 5 is out of service for now but will be back soon.
“Moral of the story: drive safe… and never underestimate a turkey,” Jackson County EMS added.
