Two locals named to Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame Silver team

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – Two former hoops standouts have been named to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2026 women’s Silver Anniversary Team.
Greensburg’s Sara Riedeman and Franklin County’s Miranda (Eckerle) Rauch are two of 18 players statewide that are being recognized 25 years after they graduated.
Riedeman set school records for points and steals and led the Lady Pirates to a 62-26 record over four seasons.
As a senior, Riedeman averaged 24 points per game and set the school’s all-time single game scoring record with 44 points against Madison in 2001.
She was a 2001 Indiana All-Star who went on to play college basketball at the University of Indianapolis, where she totaled 612 points, 138 rebounds, 68 assists, 81 steals and set a school record with a .442 career 3-point accuracy in 89 games over three seasons.
Riedeman has also been an assistant coach at Indianapolis Bishop Chatard as well as Indiana State.
At Franklin County, Rauch set career school records for most points and most rebounds and helped the Wildcats capture three EIAC championships.
She went on to play at Eastern Kentucky where she stands 14th in career points and ninth in rebounds.
Since 2006, she has worked as a teacher and counselor at Franklin County Schools.
