Water boil advisory in effect in Sunman

(SUNMAN, Ind.) – A water boil advisory remains in effect for Sunman residents until further notice. 

Crews were performing a repair when equipment failed and it forced a town-wide water outage earlier Wednesday. 

“Repairs have been finished successfully, but the water boil advisory is still in place until we say otherwise. Please preserve water over the next four hours while the water towers are being refilled,” the Town of Sunman said. 

Sunman Utilities customers are urged to boil water for 3 to 5 minutes before using or drinking. 

“Please continue to boil all cooking and drinking water until we notify you that it is no longer necessary,” town officials added.

The town was also under a water boil advisory last week due to a water main break.
