(CHARLESTON, WV.) – A West Virginia city hosted a unique outdoor experience this weekend.
The City of Charleston Parks and Recreation Department stocked fish in a community pool.
The ‘Urban Fishing’ event gave families and kids a chance to experience fishing in an accessible, neighborhood setting.
“The event is designed to introduce participants to fishing and provide hands-on experience in a relaxed, outdoor environment,” city officials said.
The City said the event is part of ongoing efforts to provide recreational experiences that connect residents with outdoor activities close to home.
