Woman claims man punched her

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – Formal charges have been filed against a woman accused of shooting a man in Brookville this past week.
Police were called to a residence on High Street around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man shot.
47-year-old Michael Taylor was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, Brookville Police said.
He was rushed to a Cincinnati hospital where his current condition remains unknown.
Investigators say 39-year-old Jasmine Johnson admitted to shooting Taylor but said it was a mistake.
According to court documents, she claimed Taylor punched her numerous times while they were sitting in a car and she loaded a gun as a "warning."
“Johnson advised the gun went off and she didn’t mean to shoot him,” investigators said.
Johnson has been charged with Battery With A Deadly Weapon and Criminal Recklessness With A Deadly Weapon.
