Woman arrested after multi-county pursuit ends in crash

(NEW TRENTON, Ind.) – One person was arrested after a multi-county pursuit ended in a crash on Sunday, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department. 

Deputies say they tried to pull over a vehicle on U.S. 52 in New Trenton, however, the driver did not stop. 

The pursuit went for four miles and continued in Dearborn County where the suspect ran off the road and struck a tree, police said. 

49-year-old Diane Duffy, of Cleves, Ohio, was taken into custody without further incident. 

Police say a search of the vehicle uncovered controlled substances. 

She was booked into the Franklin County Security Center on preliminary charges related to drug possession and resisting law enforcement.
