Woman killed in crash on State Road 56 in Ohio County

Happened early Thursday morning

(RISING SUN, Ind.) – An Indianapolis woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Ohio County on Thursday morning. 

The crash occurred around 4:30 am. on State Road 56 just south of Henschen Road. 

Investigators say 55-year-old Sherry Pruitt was traveling toward Rising Sun when her vehicle ran off the roadway. 

She passed away at the scene of the crash. 

The crash remains under investigation
