(MILAN, Ind.) – A youth baseball tournament is being planned in memory of Jordan and Sierra Walters.
Jordan was a Milan youth baseball coach and the family was traveling to a game when the couple was tragically killed on Friday.
Their two kids were also in the vehicle and were hospitalized for two days.
The Walters Family Memorial Tournament will take place from June 26-28 at Daren Baker Memorial Park in Milan.
There will be a T-ball, 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions. The tournament is open to all teams including recreational.
“We invite everyone in the community—whether you're a baseball fan or not—to come out and support the Walters family. Bring your family, fill the stands, cheer on the kids, and help us celebrate the spirit of a family that gave so much to others,” said organizer Josh Dameron.
To register, email the coaches name, contact and team division to: milansummerbaseball@gmail.com by Tuesday, June 23.
All proceeds will go to the Walters family and there will also be split the pot, gift basket raffle, shirts and a donation table.
