(PATRIOT, Ind.) – Police have arrested 18 people as part of a months-long investigation into dealing drugs and methamphetamine in and around Switzerland County. 

The investigation was led by the Indiana State Police who coordinated their efforts with the Switzerland Sheriff’s Department, Lawrenceburg Police Department, Indiana Conservation Officers, Switzerland County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Dearborn/Ohio County Prosecutor’s Office.

Investigators say they used proactive investigative techniques and the majority of the arrests were people from the Patriot area. 

“This case represents months of cooperative work among state and local law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies, all committed to disrupting drug trafficking and criminal activity in southeastern Indiana, making a significant impact on the safety of our communities,” ISP Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said.
