18-year-old leads police on pursuit on Monday

(MADISON, Ind.) – An 18-year-old allegedly led police on a pursuit that began in Madison on Monday morning.
Madison Police say they located a vehicle in a McDonald’s parking lot that was believed to have been stolen
They say Cayden Morelli, of Scottsburg, was in the vehicle and allegedly sped away after seeing the officers.
The pursuit went into Hanover where the vehicle struck a guardrail but continued driving into Scott County.
Police say the suspects vehicle eventually stopped due to running out of gas.
Morelli was charged with resisting law enforcement by fleeing, Reckless driving, Leaving the scene of a property damage accident, Possession of marijuana, and possession of stolen property.
Madison Police were assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Hanover Police Department and the Scott County Sheriff's Department.
