(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – There have been at least two crashes on eastbound I-74 in the Batesville area on Monday night. 

The first occurred just west of Batesville at the 147 mile marker and shut down the eastbound lanes until about 11:15 p.m.

A witness said the wreck involved a semi and at least one car. The semi was in the eastbound lane but was facing west.

Another accident has been reported just east of Batesville at the 153 mile marker around 10:30 p.m. 

The snow showers on Monday afternoon have led to some slick road conditions in the area.
