(LAWRENEBURG, Ind.) – The third annual Justin Owen Memorial Race will take place in Lawrenceburg tonight.
Owen was a spring car driver who was making a qualifying lap at Lawrenceburg Speedway when he crashed and was killed on April 8, 2023.
The 26-year-old was the reigning track champion at the Speedway prior to his death.
More than 100 people gathered this week at the speedway as a road was renamed in his honor.
Tonight’s race will feature USAC National Sprint Cars, Diamond Heavy Haul Modifieds and Lawrence Motorsports Trailer Sales Hornets.
General admission gates open at 5pm, hot laps at 6pm and racing at 7pm.
“Fans are welcome to bring in stadium seats and small coolers but NO carry in alcohol allowed,” officials as well.
Tickets are available at the gate with general admission being $25 and kids under 10 can get in for $10.
