(OSGOOD, Ind.) – Quick actions by Ripley County deputies led to identifying and arresting a man who allegedly failed to register as a sex offender.
Deputies say they received an anonymous tip on Tuesday that David Smith, of Osgood, is a sex offender and was supposed to be registered in Kentucky.
“Lieutenant Adam Hunger discovered that he was required to be a lifetime sex offender and had not registered in nearly 9 years as required,” Sheriff Rob Bradley said.
Smith was arrested on Wednesday and charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender (Level 6 Felony).
