(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – St. Lawrence School in Lawrenceburg far exceeded their fundraising goal during their annual Walk-A-Thon on Friday.
The event serves as the school’s only PTO fundraiser every year and it involves students, teachers and volunteers who walk, cheer and celebrate together.
Their goal this year was $25,000 and the generosity of the school community led to a fundraising total of $34,148.
“Every step taken today will help fund PTO programs, support special events, and provide meaningful resources for our teachers and students in the classroom,” the school stated on Facebook.
Students who raised the most money received special prizes like Kings Island and Cincinnati Zoo tickets.
The school thanked families, friends and local businesses who donated to the cause.
Last year, the school raised just north of $25,000 during the annual event and you can read that story here.
